David specialises in commercial contracts and IP for media and tech businesses in the creative sector. This specialist focus brings a high level of expertise across digital and social media, technology, content, publishing and marketing businesses, covering the spectrum of commercial, contractual, IP, rights, data, AI, marketing, consumer and regulatory issues.
David has spent most of his 20+ year career in-house in the creative industries, including as Head of Legal for Digital Media and Technology at BBC Worldwide (now BBC Studios), and has also been a partner at a leading west end firm. He now focusses on advising agencies, developers and creators as they grow and their legal needs increase in volume and complexity. He prides himself on helping businesses by delivering sophisticated, integrated, commercial solutions – blending the best of his in-house / industry experience, with flexible partner level legal advice.
Outside of work, David enjoys cycling, swimming and coaching junior rugby.
